Celebrate Creatively: Private Pottery Parties in Brisbane
If you’ve ever spent time shaping clay at our Bulimba studio, you’ll know what we mean when we say pottery is more than just a craft. It’s slow. It’s grounding. It’s surprisingly joyful. It’s also something best shared—around a table, with your favourite people, hands messy and hearts full.
That’s exactly what we hope to offer with our new private pottery party workshops here at Grace Ellen Ceramics in Brisbane.
Whether you’re gathering for a birthday, planning a hens party, celebrating a baby shower, or looking for a truly mindful team event, we’d love to welcome you into the studio for something a little special.
A Different Kind of Party
There’s no loud music. No dress code. No pressure to perform. Just clay, soft light, and space to breathe.
Each private workshop runs for 1-2 hours and includes everything you need—clay, tools, glazing, and firing—plus thoughtful guidance every step of the way. You’ll be hosted by Nat (that’s me!)—ceramicist, florist, and founder of Grace Ellen Ceramics—who’ll tailor the experience to suit your group and occasion.
These sessions are slow, creative, and deeply personal—just the way we like it.
Private Pottery Party Options
We currently offer four signature private workshops, each designed to suit a different mood or celebration:
Make a Mug Workshop – $95 per person
Hand-build your very own ceramic mug using traditional slab and pinch techniques. A beautiful keepsake and a favourite for birthdays or casual creative catch-ups.
Porcelain Earring Workshop – $95 per person
Craft up to two pairs of porcelain earrings in our signature cornflower blue clay. A lovely mix of creativity and style—especially popular for bridal parties.
Playing with Porcelain – $130 per person
A more meditative, freeform experience. Perfect for smaller groups, this session is about presence, texture, and slow creativity—ideal for baby showers or wellness-focused events.
Custom Workshop – from $95 per person
Have something else in mind? Combine pottery with florals, request a theme, or tailor the experience to suit your event. I’m a florist as well as a ceramicist, so I can design custom styling or creative add-ons in-house.
